Revlon Super Lustrous Lip palette

So okay, I picked this baby up at Don Muang's Airport during my trip to Bangkok last August. It was an impulse purchase but I would say that it is worth it!

So it comes in 8 different lip color which are all soo gorgeous. I usually only use Revlon for my lips as I could not use other drugstore's brand. The case has a built in mirror and it also comes with a lip brush.

Color 1: Frosty sheer pink - Can use as lip highlight. Usually put some in the middle of my lip on top of other lip color.

Color 2: A very natural lip color, almost same color as my lip. Peachy red (love this color!!) Looks almost nude/natural on my lip =)

Color 3: A shimmering color, quite natural looking on my lip too

Color 4: This color is slightly purple-ish/plum.

Color 5: Frosty light brown color.

Color 6: This is more pinkish red.

Color 7: This is the strongest color in this palette.. It is not exactly strong big red, but it towards less stronger red. Very pretty color.

Color 8: This color is a dark brownish red.

Revlon's PhotoReady Primer, BB Cream, Two-Way Powder Foundation and ColorStay pressed powder

Recently brought all of this at Guardian...

1. Revlon Photo Ready Color Correcting Primer (002)

This primer has a slight pink tint which makes the skin look slightly lighter pinkish and blur any red-ish tone. However, it contains silicone which might cause skin allergic in some people.
The texture is quite thin and I find that it dry pretty fast.. So, I think it's better to squeeze the product directly into skin rather than hand and spread quickly.

One thing though, the product tend to clog up the pump if it was left unused for a few days..

2. Revlon Photoready BB Cream in 010 Light Pale

I really like this BB cream a lot, it's light and nice to wear when you don't have much time to do foundation but yet still want to wear something. It also has SPF 30, which is not bad at all =)
However, this BB cream took a while to dry and i find that they are a bit sticky initially. Just brush some powder over it to cover the stickiness.

3. 2-Way Powder Foundation

Brought this wear it comes with 2 foundation, 2 sponge & 1 case! I brought the color natural beige. It even comes with spf 19!
What's special about this powder foundation is that it can be use in 2 ways, dry or wet. What I find is that when use it wet, it provide a smoother coverage than when using it in its dry form.

4. Revlon's ColorStay Pressed Powder

The packaging is really cute! It comes with a half mirror in the case and it has 2 layer. The first layer contains the powder and the 2nd level is the applicator. Very compact & travel friendly =) Brought this in Light/Pale

Foundations

Foundation is very important as it is the base of the make up..

I usually skip to apply any foundation unless it's on a special occasion.. Anyway, will share about the stuff I use as a foundation on my face.

The stuffs that I use as foundation

From left: Kate powder foundation OC-C, MAC prep + primer, Kate stick concealer, Cyber colors loose powder, Bobbi Brown creamy concealer + sheer finish pressed powder kit, Kate face powder, MAC NW25 concealer, Skin Food Broccoli sun cream & my make up holder pouch =)

1. Usually i'll wash my face, apply toner, LOTS of moisturizer and then only the foundation. This is because i do not want the foundations and all the make up to clog up my pores, which at least my skin will have a layer of moisturizer to protect.

2. Will usually start with my sunscreen, lol.

This is Broccoli Sun Cream from Skin Food, with SPF 42 PA++ and waterproof. What i love about this sun screen is that my face does not react to this, which usually it will to other sunscreen, so it is all good =) It also has a slight broccoli smell which might turn off some who dislike broccoli, lol.

3. Next, I'll apply primer on my face.

This is a face primer from MAC which I loves =) This really helps my foundation to stay put =)) I usually skip the primer unless I'm attending an event.

4. Next, apply concealer!

I usually take my favorite studio finish concealer MAC NW25 (SPF 35) to apply on any area of my face that i wish to conceal. A superb concealer which is basically the same shade as my skin and conceal any blemish perfectly.

Then, I'll take my bobbi brown eye bag concealer to apply under my eye area. It comes with a creamy concealer (I use Sand) & a sheer finish pressed powder (I use pale yellow). The concealer and the powder is slightly lighter than my skin tone which is recommended and make my eyes look brighter.

Next, i'll use Kate stick foundation and apply on my T-Zone, on my upper cheek bone and on my chin. This concealer is lighter than my skin tone and serve as a highlight on my face.

5. Next, I'll apply my foundation

I'll use the foundation powder and apply it all over my face with my powder brush. I'm using Kate powder foundation, it usually comes with a sponge but i lose it, lol.

6. Loose powder + light shimmer powder

I sometimes use the matte loose powder (cyber colors) & sometimes I use Kate face powder (contains slight shimmer - my favorite loose powder). I'll dusk it over my face with a big fluffy brush & i usually apply some under my eye before putting eye shadows so if there is any fallout, i'll can simply dust it away.

Urban Decay Naked 3 can't wait!

I CANT WAIT!!! OMG......!!!!

Naked 3!! (Photos taken from 4 famous beauty blogger frmheadtotoe.com / kandeej.com / temptalia.com / musingofamuse)

Wonder why they decide to make the case wrinkly? hmm.

All rosey colors.. sooo femine & romantic.. awww

Naked, Naked 2 and now, NAKED 3!!!!!!

I'm soo soo excited! Hopefully I'll be able to get my hands on this new palette this December!! =D

MUA Heaven & Earth

I brought this MUA Heaven and Earth last year after reading so much review about this product. Many said that this can be consider as a dupe for the original Naked palette. And the best thing is that the price for the palette is only 4 GBP!! Yes, indeed!

So, naturally i was really excited when i receive the product on my mail.

There are 12 shades which pretty summed up as brownish, taupe, bronze, golden & beige color. All earthly tones.

About the packaging: I have to say that the packaging of this product does not seems very exciting. The package looks like cheap plastic case. I guess that's why it's much cheaper...

                                                                        Front view

Back view

This palette also comes with a double end sponge applicator which is utterly useless. That's why i have intentionally misplace it, Lol.

Overall, i think the eyeshadow is of moderate quality. It is less pigmented that i hope for, not really creamy. And it tends to be flaky and not blend well, although it is not chalky.

For the price, i think it is okay to purchase, but i would rather pay more to get a better quality eye shadows.

Urban decay Naked palette 2

I brought them at Sephora @ Bukit Bintang last year in July =))

It comes with a lip balm which has a minty smell.. which i never really use at all. The color of the lip balm is just okay. Don't really like much though.

The brush that comes together with the Naked 2 palette (Dual End eye shadow & blending brush)

Another closer look at the brush
The eye shadow brush

The eye shadow blending brush

I find that these brush does not pick up the eye shadows as good as my pony hair brushes. Although the brush here is much better than the brush in the original Naked palette. The fluffy end of the brush is great for blending the eye shadow while the other sharper end is suitable for applying the eye shadow.

The packaging is tin-like and i felt the packaging is more secure than the original Naked. However, the original Naked does feel nicer & look nicer. Naked 2 is also heavier than Naked 3 palette.

This palette contains 12 eye shadows
 #Foxy, Half Baked, BootyCall,

1. Foxy: A matte beige light yellow base eye shadow. Lovely as a base to make other eye shadow stood out.

2. Half Baked: Golden metallic. This eye shadow also appears in original Naked (I don't like the half baked in original naked) but this seems different! Although the shade is the same, it is less pigmented and look softer compared to original naked's half-baked. Love this shade on my lid.

3. BootyCall: This is a champagne satin color, really brighten the eyes!

#Chopper, Tease, Snakebite, Suspect, Pistol

4. Chopper: Light rose gold with sparkles. The micro glitters fall out quite a lot on this.

5. Tease: A matte taupe color. I usually use this on my crease.

6. SnakeBite: Dark copper bronze satin (My favourite color in this palette). Sooo gorgeous!

#Suspect, Pistol, Verve

7. Suspect: A light cool gold satin. Another favourite of mine =)

8. Pistol: A light grey-ish steel

9. Verse: A slight white silver frost

#YDK, Busted, Blackout

10. YDK: A red based copperish metallic

11. Busted: A brown plum satin

12. Blackout: A matte black (highly pigmented, love this shade).

Overall: I still prefer the original naked although this shade in this palette are great. I felt that somemore the original palette is more pigmented, the colors are also warmer (which suits my skin NW25) while the shades in Naked 2 felt less pigmented, softer and lean towards more colder tones.
